Artist, Illustrator, Tutor

Margaret qualified as a school teacher, specialising in art, at Trent Park College, then taught in Surrey schools for many years.    She has always loved drawing and painting and has exhibited with the RI (Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours) at the Mall Galleries; the RWS (Royal Watercolour Society) at the Bankside Gallery; Westminster Central Hall; W.H.Pattison Gallery; Llewellyn Alexander Gallery; Cork Street; the Menier Gallery and many others.

She is a full member of three professional societies:
SWA The Society of Women Artists, 
SBA  The Society of Botanical Artists
SGFA The Society of Graphic Fine Art - The Drawing Society
        
(council member).

Margaret now lives in Cheam, Surrey and teaches various techniques in watercolour, ink, gouache, oils, acrylics, graphite and watercolour pencil. She has a wide range of subjects but all her work has a strong emphasis on drawing.  
She is currently writing a book on drawing flowers for Search Press to be published April 2012.

 

 

DEMONSTRATIONS, WORKSHOPS, CLASSES AND CRITIQUES

Margaret has regular classes and workshops and also gives talks, demonstrations, and critiques to art groups. Recent groups visited include: Banstead, Fetcham, Ewell, Ashtead, Kingswood, Reigate and Wallington.
